Officials at the Santa Fe Municipal Airport say they want to keep air traffic controllers.

The Santa Fe New Mexican reported that airport officials want state congressional delegates to convince the FAA to keep the employees.

KOB Eyewitness News 4 first reported last week that pilots learned the airport is on the Sequester list.

The company that contracts with the FAA has been contacted by airport officials to figure out how much it would cost the city to keep the contract.
