APD is investigating an overnight death of a man in Northwest Albuquerque.

APD says at 11:30 Tuesday night, they responded to a dispute and possible shooting on Sanderling in Ventana Ranch near Irving and Rainbow.

When they arrived, they found a man dead.

APD is not releasing the age or identity of the body; they are waiting for the Office of Medical Investigation to positively identify that person.

APD conducted a full Violent Crimes Unit call-out, and homicide detectives worked the scene.

APD units were still on scene more than 7 hours after the incident.

APD says at one point, there may have even been someone shooting at an Air One Unit; it was a very fluid scene and a large perimeter was set up.

APD has not released information about suspects in the case, or specified whether the dead person had been shot.
