Albuquerque police are asking for rape victims to come forward.

Cold case detectives are trying to find women who may have been attacked by the so-called "McKinley Middle School Rapist."

The suspect is Joseph Raymond Blea. He has been in jail since 2009, but police say he was just recently tied to more rape cases from the 1990's.

Blea is now charged in connection with 5 rapes in the area of Candelaria and San Mateo.

Police say several of the victims were middle school students at the time.

Detectives think there are a lot more victims who haven't come forward.

"He would attack the victims inside their homes," Detective Rich Lewis said. "The young girls, it was normally in the morning after their parents left for work before they went to school."

If you have any information, call Detective Rich Lewis at (505) 924-6095.
