APD officer involved in deadly crash booked into jail

The Albuquerque Police officer accused of causing a crash that killed a young Air National Guard member in February has turned himself into the Metropolitan Detention Center.
Booking information shows that Sgt. Adam Casaus was booked at 12:56 p.m. Thursday.
He was released shorty after.
Casaus faces vehicular homicide (reckless) and great bodily injury by vehicle (reckless) charges for the car crash death of Ashley Browder and injuries sustained by her sister, Lindsey Browder.
Casaus, who was on placed administrative duties, was placed on administrative leave last month.
