Police closed Lomas near Yale after a UNM Parking Transport bus hit a pedestrian Friday afternoon.
The accident was just west of University of New Mexico Hospital.
Albuquerque police say the pedestrian, who was identified as 58-year-old Sharon Broome, was seriously injured. She's a UNM student.
Police say the bus was sitting at the light facing southbound Yale, and when the light turned green, the bus turned east onto Lomas.
Police said the woman was crossing Lomas from north to south when she walked into the bus, fell down and was run over by the bus. KOB Eyewitness News 4 is told the woman may not have right-of-way when crossing the street.
We're told the bus was full at the time of the incident.
The woman is in critical condition.
The Albuquerque Police Department's Fatal Team has been called out to take over the investigation.
