One lane is opened on eastbound Interstate 40 west of Albuquerque after a recreational vehicle caught fire Sunday.
Some lanes are blocked as New Mexico State Police clean up the accident that happened at mile marker 144 around 11:30 a.m.
State police said there were slight issues because the RV had a weapon and ammunition inside the vehicle.
All three passengers in the RV escaped safely. A mechanical defect likely caused the fire, state police said.
The RV was from California.
