ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - A search warrant reportedly has been executed at the Rio Arriba County Sheriff's Office in Espanola.

The Albuquerque Journal reports that Wednesday's search warrant is in connection with what's described only as an "ongoing federal investigation."

A spokeswoman for the U.S. Attorney's Office in Albuquerque says the FBI is executing the warrant.

Elizabeth Martinez adds that under federal Department of Justice policy, she couldn't say more and couldn't describe the nature of the investigation.

A spokesman for Rio Arriba Sheriff Tommy Rodella says the FBI wanted documents and the office complied. Spokesman Jake Arnold declined further comment.
