A mother giraffe gave birth to a baby calf Saturday morning.

Some park guests were lucky enough to see the birth and were able to see the calf take its very first steps.

"Oh it was just so cool she walked around with her front feet out for about an hour and then all of a sudden she got down on her knees and she stood up got down on her knees and she stood up and gave it a big push and here it came,” said park guest Sandy Rogers.

Visitors can see the mother and her new calf out in the giraffe yard at the ABQ Biopark.
