A double-shooting Monday morning in Espanola has left two people dead.

Espanola Public Safety Chief Eric Garcia tells KOB that the shooting appears to be a murder-suicide.

The two victims – a man and a woman – appear to have died from a single gunshot wound.

The shooting happened just after 8 a.m. outside a home in North Coronado on the city’s west side.

Garcia said the dispute began when the woman was leaving for work and the man rammed her car with his vehicle.

Medical service was on scene within minutes.

The department is currently drafting up search warrants to search the cars and the scene, Garcia said.
