SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) - A new survey of Santa Fe police officers shows a large majority of them lack confidence in police chief Ray Rael.

The Santa Fe New Mexican reports that the survey released this week by the Santa Fe Police Officers Association showed that 76 percent of officers surveyed are not confident in the leadership of the Santa Fe Police.

The survey of 90 officers also found that 75 percent of them believe their morale is lower than a 5 on a scale of 1 to 10.

Rael, however, says that the questions in the survey were vague. He also says the police union hasn't presented him with survey results or offered to discuss the findings with him.
