Martinez appoints Baca as 4th District judge

SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) - Las Vegas attorney Gerald Baca is Gov. Susana Martinez's choice to fill a northern New Mexico judicial vacancy.

Martinez announced Thursday that she has appointed Baca to a Fourth District vacancy created by the resignation of Eugenio Mathis.

Baca is a former judge and a former prosecutor who has been practicing law in Las Vegas.
