FARMINGTON, N.M. (AP) - Farmington police say a man's fatal shooting may be related to an unsolved 2008 drive-by killing.

Sheriff's deputies arrested two brothers from Kirtland, 22-year-old Alejandaro Ramirez and 28-year-old Luis Ramirez, shortly after the fatal wounding of 25-year-old Johnny Benjamin Vialpando of Farmington.

Vialpando was shot while sitting in a car in a mall on Saturday.

According to the Daily Times, court documents say that the shooting of Vialpando might have a response to the 2008 killing of 17-year-old Gary Martinez.

Detective Sgt. Brandon Lane said one of the cars used in that shooting matched the car that Vialpando was driving in 2008.
