Tito Gallegos said he's fed up with his road in Aztec washing out every year.

"I generally put between $500 and $1100 worth of gravel," Gallegos said.

He says the problem first started in 1987 when this pipe was put in to collect water runoff from the road, but he says the last five years have been the worst.

Gallegos says the pipe is too small, and when there's a lot of water, it backs up onto his road.

It’s not too bad now, but if pictures from last year show that the road can get completely flooded.

"It doesn't take that much water to wash it out," he said.

Gallegos says it's a safety issue.

If the ambulance has to come down here for any reason, they're not going to be able to get through."

Gallegos said he can't maintain the road anymore so he called the city to help him with the road.

The city public works department says it's not scheduled for repair this year or next.

But after we made some calls today, the city manager and the superintendent from the public works department are planning to go out there to look at the problem again tomorrow what can be done.
