Some Albuquerque businesses are taking part in a nationwide effort to support moms in crisis.

The well-known moving company Two Men and a Truck is working with schools across 31 states, including New Mexico.

La Petite Academies and Kindercare centers have been collecting donations in the Duke City.

Those donations, which were picked up Thursday, will be on their way on Mother’s Day to moms who are victims of domestic violence staying at Joy Junction.
