The University of New Mexico has been named one of the greenest colleges in the nation.

More than 800 schools were evaluated by the Princeton Review.

School officials say it's their faculty research in renewable energy technology and sustainability studies program that sets them apart.

The Princeton Review honors schools that demonstrate a commitment to sustainability - ranging from what classes are offered to how new additions are built.
