Albuquerque professionals had their own fun with relays and games Downtown as part of the 4th Annual Urban Olympics.

Among myriad events, people competed in the javelin throw, but they used mops instead of javelins.

Teams also dressed in costumes in the hopes of winning the costume contest.

“Kind of a carnival atmosphere, it's a lot of fun. A good way to blow off some steam,” competitor Jennifer Foote said.

The Urban Olympics is an annual fundraiser for Amy Biehl High School.

The money raised goes directly to programs to help students prepare for college.
