Albuquerque joined in on the nationwide Stamp out Hunger Food Drive today.

The food drive has grown to the largest single-day food drive in the country after being in operation for 21 years.

Anyone can donate their food to help millions of Americans struggling to put their own food on the table.

The Roadrunner Food Bank raised nearly 215,000 pounds of food in 2012.

"Oh, I love it. I actually really enjoy doing this because it gives back to people who need food, “says letter carrier Frances Lopez.

There are more than 380,000 people who go hungry in New Mexico.

Of those, Nearly 147,000 are children.

The food bank is still calculating how much food they raised today.
