A Bernalillo County Sheriff's deputy is recovering after being involved in a crash last night.

The accident happened around 11 p.m. Thursday night at Academy and Layton. BCSO Sgt. Aaron Williamson said a woman turned in front of the deputy while he was going through an intersection.

Both drivers reportedly had a green light.

They were both taken to UNM Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Williamson said alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
