A very unusual bingo game was held for a good cause Sunday.

The New Mexico AIDS Sevices hosted It’s not your Grandmother’s Bingo!

It event was billed as a drag queen bingo fundraiser to help fight against HIV and AIDS.

The bingo hosts were “dolls” from an Albuquerque drag theater group.

New Mexico AIDS Services said it helps to put some humor into such a sad topic.

“HIV is a very down topic, it's not a fun thing to talk about and this is a great way for us to have a really great time, support a wonderful cause make it like an upbeat and really get our community supporters involved in something they can have fun with”, said Jessica Molzen of New Mexico AIDS Services.

Each year the game goes on for three hours.

Molzen said the group usually raises between $10-15,000 dollars through the event.
