It’s been almost two weeks since a 6-year-old girl was kidnapped and sexually assaulted.
The girl’s family wants to know why no arrests have been made.
KOB Eyewitness News 4 spoke to the girl’s mother and she said she wants answers.
She also feels confident her daughter remembers who the man who attacked her.
“A kid’s innocence. Like you don’t do that. That’s not right,” said Monica Aragon.
Aragon’s daughter was sitting outside her grandma’s apartment, eating a sandwich, when she said a man drove up, grabbed her and put her in his car.
He allegedly drove her to an apartment and sexually assaulted her.
“They were leaving. He went to go see if there was a car coming and she unlocked his door and hopped out and took off running. That’s how she got away,” said Aragon.
Aragon is frustrated because it’s been weeks and no one has been held responsible.
“My daughter called me, mom they caught him,” added Aragon. Aragon said that man is David Hernandez.
Police arrested him Thursday after they said he kidnapped a 4-year-old girl in the same complex where Aragon’s daughter was taken.
Police told KOB they are looking at Hernandez as a possible suspect in that investigation.
“If she could remember this guy’s face from not knowing anything, you know, just seeing it that one time on the TV screen and her remember it, I don’t know. What more will they need,” said Aragon.
Aragon is also frustrated that her daughter’s alleged kidnapping and sexual assault wasn’t made public.
Police told KOB Friday that there just wasn’t enough information.
