The state Corrections Department has arrested Samuel Lopez after its retrospective inmate audit determined he had been incorrectly released from custody more than a year early.

Lopez was supposed to serve 15 months and 20 days along with a two year parole term.

According to the department his judgment and sentencing for his case was never received and Lopez was released after serving another previous sentence.
