Gov. Susana Martinez has declared a State of Emergency in San Miguel County due to the Tres Lagunas Fire, which has prompted dozens of evacuations near Pecos.

The declaration makes emergency funding and additional resources from the state available in order to assist with the response to the fire and community needs, according to a press release.

The State Emergency Operations Center was elevated to a Level Three at 11 a.m. The Department of Homeland Security & Emergency Management, State Forestry Division, Department of Transportation, Department of Health, and other state agencies are coordinating support to San Miguel County and the fire suppression efforts, according to a press release.
