UNM catcher Mitch Garver and pitcher Sam Wolff join DJ Peterson as the Lobo baseball players taken in the first 48 hours of the MLB draft.

Garver was taken in the 9th round by the Minnesota Twins.  "Thanks for the love and support everyone! So excited to start my journey with the Minnesota Twins! Big thanks to family, friend, and coaches," Garver posted on Twitter.  "Oh and all of the stores in the mall are sold out of Twins gear as of and hour ago. Hmmmm."

Garver started a school-record 179 straight games, despite suffering a broken nose earlier this year. His batting average was .390 and led the team with 96 hits.

Wolff was drafted in the 6th round by the Texas Rangers.  The right handed pitcher threw more innings than anyone else on the UNM roster and he led the team in strikeouts (75).
