Many people around the Duke City helped out an Albuquerque teenager diagnosed with cancer.

KOB Eyewitness News 4 introduced you to Zak Lannon last month as one of our Hometown heroes.

The West Mesa football player was recently diagnosed with a rare type of cancer.

Octopus Carwash locations across the city held a fundraiser for Lannon on Saturday.

Octopus donated one dollar for every car that came through.

The money will go to help pay for Lannon’s medical costs.
