Record temperatures are being recorded around the Albuquerque area Thursday.

The temperature at Albuquerque's Sunport reached 105 degress, breaking the previous record of 104 for this day, set in 1994.

The temperature was expected to remain high during the remainder of the afternoon.

There may be some relief in sight, as there is a chance of rain over several days starting on Saturday.
