Lobo basketball fans need to face reality.  The upcoming season for Alex Kirk will likely be his last as a Lobo.  The 7-footer will be a hot commodity next summer.

Tony Snell was a first round draft pick by the Chicago Bulls.  Snell is a 6'7" shooting guard who was one of the top three-point threats in the country.  If Snell went that high, where do you think a 7-foot center from a winning program will be drafted?

We asked Kirk if he could see himself skipping his senior season to enter the NBA draft next summer.  "That's definitely my goal right now," said Kirk.  "I talked to Coach Neal about it already."

Kirk believes he's talented enough to enter the draft along with his current teammate Kendall Williams.  "We could be where Tony is or even better next year as long as we keep our attitude and keep working hard," said Kirk.
