Lightning storms rolling through the metro area knocked out power to more than 2,500 customers late Thursday.

PNM Electric's outage map shows more than 1,500 Los Lunas customers are still affected as of 7:30 a.m. Friday. The power is estimated to be restored by 12:45 p.m.

In northwest Albuquerque, the power is out for about 40 customers near Golf Course Road NW and Paradise Boulevard NW. PNM estimates the problem to be fixed by 10:30 a.m.

PNM crews also dealt with a transformer they believe was struck by lightning near Copper and Wyoming overnight. Power has since been restored to about 140 customers.
