Albuquerque's mayor, police chief and fire chief all honored a 6-year-old boy with a rare spinal condition on Friday.
Isaac Lill's condition prevents him from walking upright, but his love for baseball inspires the community at Isotopes Park. Lill is a fixture at Isotopes games and inspires fans and players alike with his determination.
But the boy was finally honored as a hero at a special ceremony by Mayor Richard Berry, Police Chief Ray Schultz and Fire Chief James Breen on Friday.
"Isaac is a special young man, he has a heart of a firefighter," Chief Breen said. "He's brave, he's determined, he's courageous and he's also good looking!"
At the ceremony, Chief Schulz and Breen made Lill an honorary police officer and firefighter.
