Santa Fe police pulled a body out of an arroyo Monday evening.

The arroyo swelled up after a big hail storm earlier in the day. When the water subsided, neighbors along Sirning Road found a body pinned in the water under a tree.

Police idenitified the victim as 51-year-old Tina Vigil. It is believed that she was a transient.

Police are currently checking other areas along the arroyo where homeless people are known to camp.
