An accident has resulted in a massive oil spill that has tied up traffic on I-40 eastbound near Rio Grande.

A vehicle collided with a semi and rolled over into the middle of the interstate, blocking at least three lanes of traffic. The semi spilled a large amount of oil as a reult of the crash.

The overturned vehicle has been cleared but authorities say it'll take some time to clear the oil from the highway.
