Carlsbad police shoot armed 61-year-old man

CARLSBAD, N.M. (AP) - Authorities say a 61-year-old man has been shot and killed by Carlsbad police.
The Carlsbad Current-Argus reports that the man was shot Tuesday following reports of a disturbance.
Police say when officers arrived the scene of the report, they found the man was armed with a gun.
No officers were injured and the identity of the man has not been released.
New Mexico State Police are investigating the officer-involved shooting.
