The future is here, and it was in the KOB newsroom Thursday night.
An Albuquerque video game developer has created the first game for Google's brand-new technology, Google Glass.
Sean McCracken's game is called "Psyclops". Basically, you zoom in on aliens and blow them up.
McCracken won a contest and got to buy a pair of the glasses before the general public gets them.
That also means he got a jump start on developing content for them.
"I think there's going to be a lot of different games, but this really shows the power of this, you know being able to be in a virtual reality, or augmented reality, it's beyond anything right now," McCracken said.
McCracken paid $1,500 for his pair of glasses.
Since Google Glass isn't available to consumers yet, he's not making any money off his game yet.
But, he's already planning to develop more for Google Glass.
When the glasses hit the market, probably next year, they should cost about the same as a smartphone.
