Navajo Nation officer, suspect shot in Shiprock

The FBI has taken over an investigation surrounding a shooting that injured a Navajo Nation police officer in Shiprock on Friday night.

State police said the officer was shot in the stomach. A suspect was also shot during the incident, which occured at the Chaco River Apartments II. Both the officer and suspect were taken to the hospital, but their conditions are not known this morning.
