A fight at an apartment complex left one man shot, and a police officer with stab wounds.
The FBI released new information about what happened at the Shiprock apartment complex on Friday night.
The Chaco river apartments looked uneventful as Chopper 4 flew over them on Saturday.
One witness says he saw the action unfold as a Navajo nation officer was rushed away.
"I came over here and I saw they took the female officer by hand and she says they couldn't wait got an ambulance and they took her in their own unit to the hospital," said Michael Descheenie.
The FBI confirms a female police officer with the Navajo nation police got stabbed in the foot while on the call.
The FBI will not say much other than the officer was at the apartment complex responding to a fight.
In addition to the officer's injury, one other person suffered gunshot wounds in the fight.
"I’m just glad that no children were hurt that's the main thing because there's a lot of children around here,” said neighbor Randall Begay
With an officer stabbed and two others recovering from gunshot wounds, neighbors are now hoping things resume back to normal at the Chaco river apartments.
"We feel alright really we never have anything like that around here,” said Delano Jones.
The FBI is the lead agency on this investigation.
They have not released the name of the officer stabbed, but KOB Eyewitness News 4 is told her injuries are not life threatening.
