Vandals targeted Mountain Mahogany Community School on Aug. 24

ALBUQUERQUE -- Parents and administrators at Mountain Mahogany Community School are working together to replace damaged equipment and school supplies after an incident of vandalism on Aug. 24.

Rachel Rodriguez, development director at Mahogany, indicated this morning to KOB Eyewitness News 4 that the school has received "a lot of playground equipment" to replace items burned inside a shed targeted by the vandals, but said they are still in need of gardening equipment stored in the same place.

Mike Ruiz, parent to one of the students at Mahogany, launched a campaign on Facebook to collect school supplies for the middle school students whose lockers were damaged  during the raid.

If you are interested in helping the school recover from this incident, you may drop off items at the front desk.  You may reach the administration at (505) 341-1424, or you may visit https://www.facebook.com/events/556450591075688/ to donate school supplies.
