Crews are still searching for a missing firefighter in the Santa Fe National Forest.

The United States Forest Service firefighter, Token Adams, was last seen on Friday afternoon near Jemez Springs.

Adams had responded with a crew to look for a small fire after reports of smoke in the area.

The crew had split up after unloading their ATVs to search for the smoke.

A search was launched after Adams did not show up to help put the fire out.

"Right now, we are clearing areas that have previously been searched--just gone over quickly--so we are putting a little more detail in the areas where we believe his last cell phone contact was," said Wes Crownover of New Mexico State Police Search & Rescue.

Officials say Adams did make a general call to his wife at some point.

They are planning to move the search north as they clear other areas.
