The National Weather Service expects rainfall this week to make the record books in Albuquerque.

The Duke City gets a little more than an inch of rain on average in September. But by Thursday, meteorologists predict the city will reach 1.75 inches of rain.

Even further, the NWS believes this September could be the wettest New Mexico has seen in years.
