ALBUQUERQUE -- The rain continues to fall in the metro, leaving behind everything from puddles to flooded streets to filled arroyos.

In northwest Albuquerque, drivers trudged through inches of water on Paseo and Universe.

"I lived here all my life and I've never really seen it this bad for a long time," said Truman West, a driver who pulled over after seeing the condition of the intersection.

Albuquerque police warn drivers who see puddles in the road and aren't sure how deep they are to try to avoid them as much as possible.

KOB Eyewitness News 4's crew at an arroyo near Golf Course and Irving noticed curious onlookers gathering at the scene. Police and firefighters are stationed near the arroyo, making sure people keep a safe distance from the fast-moving water.

Drivers braved the roads on Universe near Unser.
