Flood victims aided by Red Cross shelters, resources

The American Red Cross will continue to provide shelter and resources to flood evacuees across the state on Monday.

A shelter in Glenwood at the Glenwood Elementary School remains open today. Resources and personnel are available for evacuees.

The Red Cross is continuing to support evacuees' needs in Crownpoint with distribution of drinking water and a shelter trailer on standby.

The Red Cross is also distributing drinking water in La Union in Doña Ana County.

The shelter in Grants at the First Baptist Church was open until 10 p.m. on Sunday. Shelter resources will remain in Grants, should they be needed.

In Sandoval County, 32 people took shelter overnight at San Felipe Elementary school.

Damage assessment in Artesia and Lakewood has been completed by the Red Cross. Assessment in Chaves County will be completed today.

People can help flood victims by donating to the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.
