In honor of Military and Veterans Day at the New Mexico State Fair, all fairgoers will get in for free on Wednesday, Sept. 18.

"It's the best way we can think of to make the Fair available to the largest number of people," State fair general manager Dan Mourning said. "We want every New Mexican to be able to enjoy the event we've worked so hard to put together, and we understand that the economy is still pretty tough out there for most people in our state."

Regular gate admission prices of $10 for adults and $7 for seniors and kids return on Thursday, Sept. 19.

General parking at the fair continues to be free.

The 75th annual state fair runs through Sunday, Sept. 22. Visit for more information.
