If there’s a hunger problem in Bernalillo County, the mayoral candidates could help feed people – one fast food meal, at least.

According to the latest campaign finance records released on Friday, the top three mayoral candidates in Albuquerque have collectively spent more than $1 million on the campaign.

There are 364,061 people eligible to vote in the election on Tuesday, October 8.

The 4 On Your Side team crunched the numbers to see how much each candidate has spent per voter.

Mayor Richard Berry has spent the most of any candidate -- $682,726.40-- $1.87 per eligible voter.

Pete Dinelli recorded $361,778.79 in campaign expenditures – roughly 99 cents per eligible voter.

Paul Heh recorded $4,031.46 in expenditures – roughly 1 cent per vote.

Albuquerque’s city clerk anticipates voter turnout at 25-percent.  Voter turnout in 2009 was 25-percent too.
