The 30th Annual Duke City Marathon finished up in Albuquerque on Sunday.

Organizers say more than 5,000 people participated in races ranging from a 5K to the 26.2-mile marathon.

This year's event saw the largest number of participants ever for the full marathon.

Around 500 people registered and more than 400 finished the race.

The winner for the men this year was a two-time champion form Kenya.

"I am very excited. I came very close to breaking my record again today. I missed by a little, but overall, I'm thankful," said men's marathon winner Solomon Kandie.

Kandie finished with a time of 2 hours, 25 minutes and 32 seconds.

The top female finisher was 25-year-old Becky Schout from Phoenix with a time of 3 hours and 23 minutes.
