With the polls closed and all ballots tallied, the Albuquerque BioPark revealed the name of their newborn elephant.

At noon, zookeepers pulled down a banner at the Asian elephant exhibit with the name "Jazmine" printed in bold letters.

Voters picked the flower name to match the baby's mom and sister, Rozie and Daizy. The other choices were Chamiza, Nita and Roxy.

The elephant calf was born on Oct. 2 and has been bonding well with her family, according to zoo officials. Jazmine can be seen from noon to 2 p.m. on Mondays and 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. during the rest of the week at the Asian elephant exhibit.
