Albuquerque police say a pedestrian found dead in the road was intentionally run over by a 72-year-old man during a dispute.

According to APD officer Simon Drobik, police found 41-year-old Robert Gabaldon dead in the middle of Cochiti Road on Monday afternoon.

A witness told police Gabaldon had been arguing with Peter Temple several days ago over the use of electricity at his shop. After an interview with Temple, police believed the dispute progressed into a road rage incident in which Temple ran over Gabaldon while he was standing in the street.

Temple was booked in the MDC on an open count of murder and tampering with evidence.

Peter Temple, 72, was charged with an open count of murder in a hit and run case.
