On Monday, Oct. 28, KOB Eyewitness News 4 will hold a phone bank fundraiser to help New Mexico law enforcement officers injured in the line of duty.

The phone bank lines will open at 5 p.m. and close at 7 p.m. The number to call will be posted on Monday evening.

All money raised will go to the non-profit "Ten-82 Fund," which helps officers and their families cover expenses not covered by insurance or the department during their times of need. The fund will also put money into a separate account opened for the Albuquerque police officers and Bernalillo County sheriff's deputy injured in Saturday's shootout.

Started five years ago, the Ten-82 Fund was named after the police radio call "10-82," which means "officer needs help."

You can donate to the Ten-82 Foundation by calling (505)-417-1694 or by mail to:

Ten-82 Corporation
1101 Cielo Vista Del Norte
Corrales NM 87048
