Fire breaks out at Double Tree Hotel

Fire crews have contained a fire at the Double Tree Hotel in downtown Albuquerque on Wednesday morning.

The blaze was first reported around 10:20 a.m. at the hotel, located at 201 Marquette NW. Albuquerque Fire Department spokeswoman Melissa Romero said all employees and occupants evacuated prior to their arrival and there were no reported injuries.

The fire damage was contained to one room on the 11th floor. The cause is still under investigation.

Streets around the hotel remain blocked on Roma from 4th to 2nd and Marquette from 2nd to 3rd.
