On Tuesday morning, NMDOT put out winter road condition alerts for three highways in northern New Mexico.

Wet and slushy road conditions are reported on Highway 38 from Idlewild to Red River, U.S. 64 from Agua Fria to Cimarron and Highway 434 from Black Lake to Agua Fria. The highways have also accumulated about an inch of snow.

NMDOT crews are out plowing, salting and cindering this morning. Drivers are urged to drive with caution and reduce speed on these roadways.
