Black Friday is just around the corner and shoppers and retailers are already gearing up for the madness. The sales are starting in Albuquerque on Thanksgiving Day now and electronics are at the top of a lot of wish lists.
"We look at the sale papers, look who has the best sales and when they open," said Sherry Kindred. "We look for the best route, so we can get in and out."
A lot of the online ads from the big box retailers were leaked this week. They show the hot deals they'll be offering for the holiday, like low prices on television and door buster deals.
"This year, we open up at 8 p.m. and we decided that just based on our competitors hours and our team member and business needs," said Adam Shwartz from Target. "Thanksgiving has really become a family shopping day."
At the top of a lot of people's wish lists is a new, big screen TV and a PlayStation 4.
For some people, they don't mind shoveling through the crazy crowds to score the high ticket items at the lowest prices.
"It's not just about the shopping though, it's the adrenaline and everyone that's out," said Kindred. "And it's finding the deals. There are a lot of deals to be hand on that day."
Other people said they'll be avoiding it at all costs.
"I would call it a retail induced holiday frenzy," said Chanda Harcourt. "And I want to get as far away from that as possible."
