Reverend Pearl Gabaldon at the Celebration of Love Chapel in Nob Hill says they get a constant flow of business from the county courthouse.  She says that is because there is a two to three month backlog of people waiting to have a judge marry them.

Couples who don't want to wait go to her chapel.

"Same amount of people are getting married, but more of them are looking for a smaller venue or a free venue because of the economy," Rev. Gabaldon said.

Weddings at the courthouse are free.  Gabaldon does same day weddings, getting couples in and out in an hour for $200 dollars.  She says they don't expect the backlog at the courthouse to clear up anytime soon, so she expects to remain steady.  The Reverend says she is already hearing interest in the next big dates 7-7-14 and 12-13-14.
