VAUGHN, N.M. -- The town of Vaughn continues to experience issues with its water supply.

Late Tuesday, Chief of Police Philip Holmes said the water system was charged with water, but the pressure was still low. The town first experienced multiple leaks and line breaks on Nov. 7, resulting in an outage that lasted several days.

A boil advisory persists for Vaughn residents as a precaution. Chief Holmes said full water pressure is expected to return by the end of the day.

Residents can access a 5,000 gallon tanker of potable water from the National Guard at the Vaughn Community Center.
